Randy Orwin
Randy is currently an independent consultant and owner of k12opensourcehelp.com where he specializes in open source software and content for schools, technology integration, eLearning and web 2.0 tools. Prior to being a consultant, Randy spent nine years as a district level technology director for the Bainbridge Island School District in the Seattle area. He started his career as a classroom teacher where he spent thirteen years teaching grade 5-12 music, advanced ecology, biology, and a bit of math and Utah State History for good measure. He also spent two years as a high school library media specialist and taught The Novell CNA course to high school students. His favorite saying is "It isn't about the technology, it is about powerful teaching and learning!"
