Ian Ralph
Manager Information Technology
SCEGGS, Darlinghurst.
Ian Ralph has been in his current role as IT Manager at SCEGGS Darlinghurst since 1992. Most of his time is taken up with the day to day management of the School’s large network with the aim of achieving the best educational use of the resources he manages. Ian’s interests in open education started in the mid 1990s when he built his school's first web server on Linux based server - a journey that has continued to the present day where a significant proportion of the schools systems run on Linux servers with numerous open source applications meeting the School's educational needs. In Ian's work with teachers and students he takes every opportunity to spread the word on the concept and benefits of Open Education.
